YES!!!! BREAKING!! MINNESOTA SUES NOEM OVER WHAT ICE IS DOING IN MINNEAPOLIS!!!
[UPDATE: I will be appearing on The Daily Whatever Show tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 10 AM Eastern to discuss the lawsuit, you can watch live here: https://substack.com/@lwinner/note/c-199060619 ]
THIS JUST IN! Minnesota, Minneapolis, and St. Paul have JUST filed a lawsuit against Noem, Bovino, and others over what’s been going on with ICE, including, but not limited to, what happened with Renee Nicole Good. (Remember I told you that I was 100% sure that they were getting a lawsuit ready to file – well, this is that lawsuit.)
The complaint is 81 pages long (included for Notes from the Front members). It does talk about Renee Good, and then also:
“Shortly before Renee Good was shot and killed on January 7, 2026, a different scene unfolded less than a mile away. An attorney for the State of Minnesota with expertise in civil rights law witnessed an apparent DHS arrest unfolding, and she approached the scene in order to act as a witness. She identified herself as an attorney and stood a safe distance from the arrest. A DHS agent jumped out of his vehicle, unloaded entire canisters of pepper spray on her at point blank range, causing such irritation that she had to strip her clothing off on the scene to reduce the effect.”
And this:
“When the federal government itself violates legal rights and civic norms on such a broad scale and public panic is high, state and city governments bear the costs – both tangible and intangible. Defendants’ agents’ reckless tactics endanger the public safety, health, and welfare of all Minnesotans. Additionally, Defendants’ agents’ inflammatory and unlawful policing tactics provoke the protests the federal government seeks to suppress.”
There’s a lot more (again, 81 pages) but I need to get back to posting the 2016 video of Hegseth saying that the military should not follow illegal orders which I’ve dug up for you (and preserved the full video from which it comes, which is over an hour long, in our private dropbox so it can’t be disappeared and so you want watch the whole thing, if you want to.)
Notes from the Front members: The full 81-page complaint from Minnesota, Minneapolis, and St. Paul against Noem, Bovino, et al is in your inbox now. It will definitely do your heart and stress level some good.
To preserve original source documents before they can be tampered with (remember the 16 documents that mysteriously disappeared from the Epstein files?), and protect myself from claims of improper republication, and trolls, I don’t publicly share documents I find, I make them available privately to Notes from the Front members. Often these are non-public documents for which I have had to pay out of my own pocket in order to share them with you. Others of them may be public but I find the source originals for you and include explanations and insights based on my decades of law practice and as a law professor, with a side of snark. ;~)
You can join below for immediate access to this and other documents, the archives, our private chat, etc.. – it’s $5 a month which both keeps the trolls out, and helps to cover my expenses for our private dropbox, for purchasing transcripts and documents to share with you, etc..
