We just wanted to say thank you to the people of Florida for standing up. Two Florida voters have taken legal action against the governor after he issued a proclamation to convene a special legislative session on congressional redistricting this April. Their filing with the state’s highest court challenges both the call for the session and the subsequent decision to shift candidate filing deadlines for the 2026 elections. The lawsuit contends that these moves overstep constitutional boundaries and disrupt the balance of powers set out in Florida’s constitution.
