Twenty-five states are suing the Trump administration’s U.S. Department of Agriculture over the looming suspension of SNAP benefits. In response, blue-state governments are stepping in to fill the void, governors are allocating emergency funds to support food banks, deploying their National Guards to help coordinate donations, and taking other measures to ensure families don’t go hungry.
