THIS JUST WENT OUT TO ‘WE THE PEOPLE DEFEND’, AND I’M SHARING IT WITH YOU:
Citizen Warrior,
Whenever a Republican breaks the lockstep with their party and Trump we need to applaud and support them. That is the ONLY way the cracks are going to continue to happen, and to widen. And we are the wedges that are going to widen these cracks.
This week has shown that it’s working – no fewer than 39 Republicans have broken ranks to cross the aisle and vote with the Democrats on health care, Venezuela, and Trump’s vetos of the bipartisan measures to get drinking water to parts of Colorado and to allow the Miccosukee Tribe to permanently occupy part of the Everglades.
We need to contact them and thank them for risking the wrath of Trump and standing up for what’s right. Sure, you may need to bite your tongue and swallow your bile because where were they before now, but this is not the time for that. This is the time to be the wedge and encourage them to keep standing up now.
Just remember this mantra: “Be the wedge”
Here’s the list of all of the Republicans who defected on the various votes; below the list is a short script (be sure to customize it and make it your own!) and below that are the links to the contact lists. Remember that you can call them even if they are not your own representative, they are still part of the whole that defected to help get things passed!
