This is outrageous! The very definition of fraud, waste, and abuse.
An executive jet that the Department of Homeland Security says it “needs” for deportation flights and Cabinet travel isn’t some standard government aircraft. It includes a private bedroom with a queen-size bed, showers, a full kitchen, four oversized flat-screen TVs, and even a bar.
DHS recently began leasing the Boeing 737 Max 8 (which officials themselves have described as a luxury jet) and now Immigration and Customs Enforcement is seeking approval from the White House Office of Management and Budget to purchase it outright for $70 million.
While Americans are told to tighten their belts, DHS is asking taxpayers to bankroll a flying penthouse. Photos from NBC News.
