THE FOUR FREEDOMS

In his 1941 State of the Union address, President Franklin D. Roosevelt outlined four freedoms in which all Americans should be secure: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. I would suggest that we are failing miserably in all four of these, and people in Washington need to be reminded of this! How many of you knew that the famous Rockwell painting that appears to depict a family celebrating Thanksgiving is actually from his collection depicting the four freedoms, inspired by FDR’s speech?
