This is upsetting and I am deeply disturbed and ticked off right now.
From what I understand, Kurtis Chapman and his lawyer were discussing defense tactics, a detective overheard and apparently the conversation being already recorded the detective made a copy of the tape and basically reviewed or listened to it, this was a private conversation between chapman and his lawyer. This does indeed violate attorney - client privs.
Now Andy Miller has been appointed in order to determine if Chapman's rights were violated. Andy Miller has asked for the courts to dimiss the murder and manslaughter charges as he feels the case has been tainted. They will need to investigate and see if Chapman's rights were violated.

PASCO, Wash. -- A 22 year old Pasco murder suspect makes his first court appearance. Kurtis Chapman faces 2nd degree murder charges for the death of 19 year old Shenay Greenough.
PASCO -- This afternoon, 22-year-old Kurtis Robert Chapman from Pasco had his preliminary hearing today in connection with Shenay Greenough's murder.
The Franklin County Prosecutor accuses him of second degree murder in the death of Shenay Greenough. Police arrested him Tuesday evening in Pendleton.
Charging documents from the Franklin County prosecutor's office claim Greenough was strangled to death on Saturday. Family and friends say she was pregnant and due soon and has a young son.
Pendleton, Ore. - A man wanted for a Pasco murder is in jail Wednesday morning after police arrested him Tuesday night.
Kurtis Chapman, 22, was booked into the Umatilla County Jail after police caught up with him around 7:30 p.m.
Police say Chapman killed a 19-year-old pregnant woman at his home on Waldermar Ave. in East Pasco.
Friends of a woman missing from West Richland believe the victim is Shenay Greenough. Police say Chapman and Greenough knew each other.
The Franklin County Coroner will perform an autopsy on the woman Thursday.
