James Blair is an American political strategist and the founder and president of Rapid Loop Consulting, a political consulting and public affairs firm based in Tampa, Florida. In the 2022 election cycle, he led major campaigns and Super PAC efforts for gubernatorial, U.S. Senate, and congressional races across battleground states such as Arizona, Florida, Michigan, and Ohio.

Blair’s political career includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, where he advised on policy during the 2018 campaign and the subsequent transition. He also held the position of Political Director at the Republican National Committee, managing staff and directing political operations and programs.

In November 2024, President-elect Donald Trump appointed Blair as Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative, Political, and Public Affairs.
