It’s amazing that the House passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act. But even though the bill bans redactions for embarrassment or political reasons, it still includes several exceptions that could allow key names to be withheld:
– “Active investigation” loophole
– National security classification loophole
– Victim-privacy entanglement
– General personal-privacy exceptions
So yes, depending on how the DOJ applies these carve-outs, certain names could still be redacted lawfully.
