IT IS NOT TRUE THAT DHS HAD THE LAKEVILLE HAMPTON INN’S SIGN REMOVED! HOW COULD ANYONE POSSIBLY BELIEVE THAT? HERE’S WHAT IS TRUE:
What is true is that Nick Sortor pretended to be with DHS, went into the Lakeville, Minnesota Hampton Inn by Hilton, and tried to book a room. They allegedly told him that DHS was not welcome there. This was *after* Lakeville had gotten in trouble with Hilton Corporate and so issued a statement saying that “everyone was welcome there”.
After Sortor brought his experience to Hilton’s attention, *HILTON* severed ties with the Lakeville Hampton Inn. It was HILTON that had the sign removed, *not* DHS! Jesus, how gullible are some people? 🤦🏻♀️
The location is now permanently closed, which is a shame. The owners were four partners from India, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t want ICE there.
