I am not outing my friend who wrote this but I will say he is the best kind of conservative.

When assessed by the original documents, the United States government was never meant to be a corrupt, amoral, humanist system ruled by an entrenched political overclass exploiting a permanent underclass to amass power. I hope that most average, working-class, traditional Americans never give up on that original unique and fantastic ideal-ism. I didn’t, and I haven’t.
And, as a result, in one congressional district in flyover country, a powerful incumbent was toppled against all odds. The world of politics does not have to be reserved for only the very wealthy or the very connected. Although, admittedly, it still definitely helps, as I discovered.”
