GEEK FRIENDS WHO ARE SUPER-FAMILIAR WITH APPLE MAIL ON A MACBOOK COMPUTER
Before I even give the ask, remember that i am *deep* in email, I am a serious email geek, I run an email reputation company, I (co)founded the email deliverability industry, in short, I *know* email. So please don’t ask me “did you set SMTP up correctly”, or “did you remember to set the port” or “did you remember to set TLS”, etc..I have done *everything* that a good little email geek does. Ok, here’s the situation:
I have a few different email accounts set up in Apple Mail through which I send email. Let’s call the main ones Account1 and Account2, and their outbound servers are each set to Server1 and Server2, respectively. In other words, outbound for Account1 is mapped to SMTP Server1, and outbound for Account2 is set to SMTP Server2.
BUT every single friggin’ time I send email using Account2, it is using SMTP Server1 (which of course breaks authentication, among other issues).
For further clarification, Account1 is my corporate account and Server1 is our corporate server. Account2 is my gmail address and Server2 is smtp.gmail.com.
Have any of you run into this? If so, did you find a fix?
Thank you in advance!
