For everybody asking me what I think about the situation in Venezuela: I’m sorry, but you’re going to be disappointed. One of the reasons that I’m a trusted source (and, hey, let’s face it, often right) is because I don’t form an opinion, let alone open my mouth about something, unless I have the full information and know all the facts. I don’t have those here. Nobody does (or at least very few people do, and I’m not one of them). I don’t engage in wild speculation. And I’m not an international criminal law expert. My *gut* says that what happened was illegal (no war, no consent of Congress), but there is that SDNY indictment, which I’m going to dig up and then share with Notes members, and I’m simply am not versed, let alone qualified to opine, on how that may or may not be a foundation for the action. And unless you are an international law attorney, or someone with the state department, DOJ, etc., NEITHER ARE YOU. So *no* WAGs (wild *ss guesses) on this post, or I’ll turn commenting off.
