Denmark’s prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, has again pushed back against Trump after he reiterated that the United States “absolutely” needs Greenland and signaled he may act on the issue in the coming weeks. Frederiksen emphasized that Denmark (and therefore Greenland) is a member of NATO and covered by the alliance’s collective security guarantees.
