Call to Action: This Friday, Minnesota is being called to stand together in real, visible solidarity. Labor unions, faith leaders, and community organizers are urging people across the state to plan ahead and take part in a Minnesota Economic Blackout do not work, do not attend school, and do not shop, except to support small local businesses if absolutely necessary. This collective pause is a response to the federal β€œOperation Metro Surge,” the killing of Renee Good, and the unprecedented flood of federal agents into our communities. The goal is simple to show that when our neighbors are harmed and our communities are treated like battlegrounds, we do not carry on as usual. We show up for each other. A mass march and rally will take place in downtown Minneapolis at 2:00 PM, but solidarity also looks like preparation getting groceries ahead of time, warning employers, supporting local shops, and choosing not to fuel corporate profits for a day. This is about dignity, truth, and refusing to normalize what should never be normal.
