A federal appeals court has shut down a district judge’s effort to determine whether Trump administration officials committed criminal contempt by flying Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador in defiance of a court order. Back in April, Judge James E. Boasberg found there was probable cause to believe the administration ignored his directive to recall the planes. But naturally, accountability for this crowd is optional.
