Trump spent Labor Day promoting what he called a “Golden Age,” but the claims being pushed don’t hold up. The White House circulated talking points on social media boasting of $8 trillion in new tariff revenue, $4 trillion in deficit reduction, $5 trillion in new business investment, hundreds of thousands of new jobs tied to those investments, and record low gas prices. While the numbers sound impressive, none of them are true.
