There’s a word this administration keeps throwing around that should worry you: “Liberation.” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in Los Angeles, “We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country.” Now Trump is using the same word in D.C. To them, “liberation” means clearing streets with troops, rounding up the vulnerable, and calling it freedom. In the United States, we don’t “liberate” our people from the government they themselves elected.
