Maybe there’s still a glimmer of hope. During today’s hearing, judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit didn’t seem too convinced by the Trump administration’s defense of using emergency powers to justify sweeping global tariffs. The administration claimed the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) gives the president broad leeway to impose such measures. But several judges pushed back almost immediately.
