The Senate could vote as early as Tuesday evening on Emil Bove’s nomination to a lifetime seat on the federal appeals court. Bove, a former attorney for Donald Trump, has faced mounting controversy amid whistleblower complaints.
A third whistleblower has recently come forward, claiming that Bove misrepresented his role in the dismissal of public corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams during his confirmation process.
Previously, two whistleblowers from the Justice Department, including former DOJ lawyer Erez Reuveni, stated that in a March meeting, Bove told colleagues they might have to disregard court rulings that could slow Trump’s mass deportation plans.
