A coalition of 20 states filed a lawsuit today against the Trump administration over its abrupt decision to terminate a multibillion-dollar federal grant program designed to help communities withstand floods, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. The suit, filed in federal court in Boston, accuses the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of unlawfully dismantling the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program without congressional approval.
