A win! A federal judge blocked the Trump administration from ending birthright citizenship, a major win for the Constitution. The order, which would’ve stripped citizenship from babies born in the U.S. to undocumented parents or visiting academics, was halted nationwide. Judge Joseph Laplante certified the ACLU’s lawsuit as a class action, the only way to stop the policy after a recent Supreme Court ruling tied his hands. Big thank you to the ACLU and Judge Laplante!
