This administration swore it would be “the most transparent in history.” That promise didn’t last long.
We’ve seen the heavily redacted Epstein documents, only to be told by Elon that “there’s a lot more to that story.” But that’s just one example of a much broader pattern. The secrecy runs far deeper:
– FOIA delays and redactions have become standard. Agencies are stonewalling even the most basic requests.
– Archival records are being scrubbed, visitor logs erased, web content removed, and encrypted apps used to bypass oversight.
– ICE facilities have barred members of Congress, blocking lawful inspections and cutting off access to detained constituents.
– Press access is restricted, mainstream reporters are excluded unless they follow the administration’s narrative.
– Watchdogs and inspectors general have been fired or replaced with loyalists, dismantling mechanisms of accountability.
– DOGE operates in total secrecy, even as it slashes budgets, halts research, and freezes disaster preparedness across federal agencies.
This isn’t transparency, it’s the systematic dismantling of it. The American people have a right to know what their government is doing. If there’s nothing to hide, then why hide it?
And here’s the irony, they spent years railing against the so-called “deep state.” But if you’re paying attention, it’s clear: they’re building exactly what they once condemned. A centralized, unaccountable government, hidden from public view.
That’s why the resistance has been working nonstop to bring the truth to light. We won’t let this slip through the cracks. If they won’t be transparent, we will.
“I was just following orders” has never aged well in history.
