The head of FEMA’s disaster command center, responsible for coordinating the national response to earthquakes, floods, and other emergencies, has submitted his resignation. This comes after several senior staff departures and just one day after Trump announced plans to dismantle the agency by November. Millions of Americans and dozens of states rely on it in times of crisis. But Trump doesn’t seem to think it’s needed. It’s looking like RIP FEMA.
