Living in the upside down. A person who tried to overthrow the government is getting a settlement. The Trump administration has agreed to pay $4.9 million to settle a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the family of Ashli Babbitt, the woman shot while trying to breach the Speaker’s Lobby during the January 6th insurrection. Babbitt, 35, was part of the mob attempting to stop Congress from certifying the 2020 election. She was killed while trying to climb through a broken window just outside the House Chamber. The settlement was confirmed in a court filing.
