This administration will go to any lengths to keep the public in the dark. Transparency? Why would America deserve that.

Today, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to block a court order requiring Elon Musk’s so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” to hand over internal documents because apparently the public has no right to know what this shadow agency is doing with Americas info and tax dollars.

In their emergency request, Solicitor General D. John Sauer claimed the watchdog lawsuit “threatens the confidentiality and candor” of the agency’s advice to the president. Translation: the public might find out what they’re actually doing.

They say the agency is exempt from FOIA. That judges can’t enforce transparency. That accountability is optional.

When a secretive agency is rewriting how government works, in the shadows, the public deserves answers.
