Some federal employees have been identified after Attorney General Pam Bondi began seeking records and testimony from journalists. Several workers who spoke to the press after being fired by the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have now received notices from internal HR offices informing them they are under investigation for participating in media interviews.

Bondi recently escalated her rhetoric, calling it “treasonous” to talk to reporters about what’s happening inside the administration.

These employees whose formal dismissal was delayed due to bureaucratic holdups received emails with the subject line “Administrative inquiry,” accusing them of unauthorized engagement with the media and threatening further action. Many of them only spoke out after being terminated, hoping to expose the illegal actions of DOGE and the Trump administration and keep the public informed.

No coalition members have been identified yet in this hunt. That said, we’ll remind you once again: be mindful of how you communicate. Use secure formats, follow all established guidance, and above all protect your identity. Burner phones and throwaway accounts are still a thing. Stay safe.
