The Trump administration’s months-long hunt to root out the resistance is ramping up. Investigations are intensifying, with polygraph tests being used to create a climate of fear and intimidation. FBI Director Kash Patel is leading “loyalty vetting” efforts and has directed the widespread use of lie detector tests. Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi has established new legal guidelines allowing the Justice Department to subpoena reporters’ personal communications broadening the scope to target anything that could embarrass the administration or undermine its views.
Interrogation rooms have been set up, and sting operations are underway to entrap “dissenters” at every turn. When you pass someone under investigation, you might exchange a brief glance to offer a flash of courage but otherwise, it’s head down, keep walking.
We have DOGE distributing NDAs (despite federal rules prohibiting them), Elon Musk’s staffers using threats and intimidation, Attorney General Ed Martin threatening criminal prosecution for anyone deemed “disloyal,” and Schedule F quietly looming over it all. And the list goes on. Calling it a toxic work environment would be putting it lightly.
