A lot of people seem to think following the U.S. Constitution is optional—like picking which shoes to wear in the morning. It’s not. If you’re within the boundaries of the United States, the Constitution applies to you.

If you’re feeling empowered by a man who won by one of the narrowest margins in U.S. history—second only to the 2000 election—you might want to rethink what you’re betting on.

Yes, our system is slow. But checks and balances always prevail. And no, Trump can’t just pardon everyone. That’s not how this works. The Supreme Court has already ruled 9-0 on due process—and they will weigh in on what’s happening now. When they do, this administration will be forced to listen to the highest court in the land.

So stay steady. Don’t lose faith in the Constitution. Americans have always found a way to fix things—even when our government tries to ignore the very laws it swears to uphold.

Remember: when tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.
