Under section 12.11(1m)(a)(2), it’s a crime to offer “anything of value” to “any elector” to induce them to “vote or refrain from voting.” As a result, Elon Musk deleted a tweet announcing plans to visit Wisconsin on Sunday and hand out $1 million checks to voters—just two days before a critical state Supreme Court election.
