Let’s work together! If you have an elderly family member who struggles with using a computer or traveling to a Social Security field office, let’s make sure they get the help they need with their online identity verification application—or a free ride to the field office.
The Social Security Administration announced that starting March 31, people who want to file for benefits or change the bank where their payments are deposited can no longer do so by phone—they must first verify their identity online or visit a field office.
Our coalition is organizing nationwide efforts with community organizations, senior centers, and social workers to provide free assistance to those who need it. But the best way to make a difference is for all of us to check in on our family members, neighbors, and community to see if they need help.
Let’s ensure no one is left behind—spread the word and support those who need it most!
