Musk obscured the details of new claims on its website, despite promises of transparency. Previously, when DOGE posted new claims, it included identifying details about the cuts it took credit for. This allowed the public to fact-check its work by comparing figures with federal spending databases and consulting the affected groups. This time, however, those details were omitted, with DOGE citing “security” concerns. As a result, the new claims are impossible to verify. If they’re uncovering so much “fraud,” shouldn’t transparency be the priority?
