Without phone support, resolving payment issues, verifying official communications, and addressing urgent concerns would be much harder, increasing financial hardship and fraud risks.
Eliminating phone services would also force more people to visit SSA offices, leading to overcrowding and longer wait times, especially for those with mobility or transportation challenges.
