For the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico:
Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL94):
Currently, there is limited shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a well-defined low-pressure area located several hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands. Presently, the system exists within an unfavorable environment, and development is not expected within the next couple of days. However, the system is projected to generally move westward to west-southwestward, and environmental conditions may become more favorable for further development by the middle to latter part of this week. There is a possibility that a tropical depression could form if the system begins to move west-northwestward and approaches or moves near the Leeward Islands by the end of this week.
